| Please do not bring airhorns and/or noisemakers to competitions or awards ceremonies! Parents and family should wear your season shirt or navy polo shirts to all events in support of our music programs. |
At the end of the competition evening when our buses come into the CHS parking lot, it is tradition for parents in their cars to honk their horns and flash their lights to welcome home our victorious 77TH Cavalry! |
| For ALL band members with long hair, please put your hair up with pins and have it hair sprayed at Call Time. There will not be time for band chaperones to do this for you! Please leave your bobby pins in your hat box after wearing your hat. |
Your student will need at least 2 pair of black socks. You will also need 2 pair of black spandex shorts for band members to wear underneath their competition uniforms. |
|
For summer band camp, freeze some water bottles, they will stay colder longer. Always keep cold water in your car. |
You don't need stadium seats for the Arcadia field competition or the SCSBOA Field Championships, they have backs on the seats. But a cushion is always nice! |
| The Chino Invitational is a long day. It's a lot of work, with a great feeling of accomplishment at the end of the day. |
| Come to the Tuesday night practices, if you can. They are wonderful. You can watch the field show progress each week. Walking around the track while they practice is a good way to get some exercise too! |
On competition days, make sure your kids have $10 or so. They may need to replace lost gloves or wrist bands.
Take lots of pictures and video. My son loved coming home after a competition no matter how late at night to watch their performance from earlier that day! |
Make sure you get 2 season shirts for your child and at least 1 for yourself! |
| Parents, sign up and be part of the booster fun! You will get to know more parents and kids that way. |
Please remember we need your pictures for our yearbook and to post on this website. Please use your digital camera setting to make them .jpeg photos. |
Competition days with parades in the morning and field shows at night are long, hard days for the kids. Make sure to plan the day ahead. The kids love hearing the cheers and applause! |
Sit with your child and listen to them practice. They like that! |
Make sure your child eats a good breakfast before they leave the house on early competition days! |
